YES!!!
The news that Gavin & Stacey fans have been waiting for years – the hit comedy series is set to return for a one off Christmas special in 2024.
Reports from Deadline back in February and recent sightings of James Cordon and Rith Jones in Barry by fans of our Facebook Page, roused suspicions that the series is set to return!
Fans of our page who live in the Welsh seaside town of Barry Island, where filming is due to commence have confirmed sightings of James Cordon and Ruth Jones in the area in early February.
These suspicions went viral, leading to Ruth making a statement on a podcast that it simply wasn’t true! Fast Forward to May, and they finally revealed the rumours were TRUE and a final episode would air on Christmas Day.
But Then….
On Friday 3rd May 2024, James Cordon Released this statement on Instagram…
Some news… It’s official!!! We have finished writing the last ever episode of Gavin and Stacey. See you on Christmas Day, BBC One. Love Ruth and James
Filming is due to start this summer, ready for a Christmas release!
The last time Gavin and Stacey graced our TV screens was on Christmas day in 2019, when fans were left with a huge cliffhanger when Nessa got down on one knee to propose to Smithy – and we might FINALLY get our answers!
