1 – Frosty the Snowman
Frosty the Snowman, is a beloved character known for his magical adventures and joyful spirit. He first appeared in the 1950 song, recorded by Gene Audrey. The character was then adapted into various animated TV shorts from 1969.
He is by far the most popular fictional snowman to date!
2 – Olaf
Olaf burst onto our screens in the 2013 Disney movie ‘Frozen’. He’s been a firm favourite character ever since, even having his own Christmas spinoff entitled ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure’ in 2017.
He is an A-list famous snowman to children!
3 – The Snowman
The Snowman is a character created by Raymond Briggs’ in a 1978 picture book. The character gained notoriety when the film adaptation was released in 1982.
Although he’s the most visually recognised Snowman, due to his lack of name, he is often overlooked.
4 – Sam The Snowman
Sam the Snowman is the narrator and a character who appears in the 1964 movie ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’.
Sam’s voice is provided by the iconic ‘Burl Ives’ the famous singer and voiceover artist, which gives him his notoriety.
5 – Leon The Snowman
Leon is the North Pole Snowman from the huge Christmas Movie ‘Elf’ featuring Will Ferrell.
He is voiced by the late Leon Redbone and is actually based on Sam the Snowman (above)
6 – Marshmallow
Marshmallow is the second most notable snowman from the Frozen franchise. He is an enchanted snowman created to serve as Elsa’s bodyguard.
The giant snowman has an incredibly short temper, and will defend his queen to the death, making him the scariest snowman on the list!
7 – Jack Frost
Jack Frost is a magical snowman who was brought to life when a depressed 11 year old son needed his father back.
He is featured in the 1988 film by the same name and is voiced by Michael Keaton.
8 – The Abominable Snowman
The Abominable Snowman is a regular character in the Monsters Inc moves, he used to work in the mailroom until he was banished to live in a cave in the Himalayas.
The friendly snowman now prefers to go by the name ‘The Adorable Snowman’.
9 – The Bumble
The Bumble, also known as ‘The Abominable Snow Monster Of The North, made his TV debut in 1964, appearing in the Christmas Classic ‘Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer’
His vocal sound effects including the ferocious roar were provided by the late Larry D. Mann
10 – Blue Snowman
Blue Snowman is a part of the DC Comics franchise. Although, she’s not your typical snowman, she’s a supervillain!
This snowwoman wears armour and has a “telescopic snow ray” to create petrifying blizzards and a “defroster ray” for reverse effects.

The world’s most recognised and googled snowman is “Frosty”. Frosty the Snowman first appeared in the popular Christmas song of the same name, which was first recorded in 1950 by Gene Autry and the Cass County Boys, then later that year by Jimmy Durante.
His hugely popular character was then adapted into animated TV Specials and Movies.
